Texas Teachers is a private alternative teaching certification program striving to offer the fastest route to teacher certification for post college grads by removing unnecessary obstacles and raising the quality of training and mentoring. Texas Teachers backs up its commitment by voluntarily making 90% of its fees contingent upon the new teacher's job placement.

Texas Teachers developed its training and support elements with tremendous input from school districts. By working with districts and meeting their expectations, Texas Teachers can therefore help to increase the potential for employment and success of its interns.

The Challenge

Texas Teachers were spending $50,000 a month on radio, TV, and billboard advertising, but they were receiving less than 5,000 visitors to their website with a lower than average conversion rate. They were in need of a more cost effective way to reach their prospects while matching the professionalism of the program with their online presence.

The Solution

LevelTen redesigned Texas Teachers' website in early 2006 using proper coding and a usable sales funnel navigation. LevelTen advised Texas Teachers to provide high resource-oriented content.

After launching the site with foundational SEO methods already in place, multiple first tier pay-per-click services were employed to assist in promoting the site, to increase targeted traffic, as well as to measure and hone in on organic keyword phrases to provide optimized content direction for the site.

The Results

Soon after the new site launched, Texas Teachers noticed a rise in enrollment instantly. The first ten months were a huge success with traffic and enrollments growing every month. LevelTen's SEO and search engine marketing resulted in a dramatic increase in qualified traffic to the Texas Teachers website over the course of the first year's marketing campaign with traffic peaking in March 2007 at 40,000 visitors, an 800% increase.

With this increase in traffic, applicants to the certification program and graduates of the program also increased creating substantial financial gains, so much that Texas Teachers tripled its staff members and expanded from its Houston and San Antonio offices to having two more offices located in Dallas and Fort Worth in February 2007. Texas Teachers receives 1000 -1200 applicants a month without the use of any traditional advertising media, instead channeling only 1/5 of their previous advertising budget and receiving much better results.

Texas Teachers has now opened an office in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Monthly traffic has grown to a high of 53,000 in June '07.

Texas Teachers offices have further expanded to El Paso. The web site is averaging 2000 visitors a day and 1200 - 2200 applications sent per month.
