monkey-typing.jpg
I used to write in personal blogs off and on for seven years on someone else's network. I started business blogging in 2006 for LevelTen and their clients, but had been blogging on my own since 2001. One day I had a realization and decided to stop building other people’s content and focus building an online presence for myself, as well as LevelTen and their clients. GoDaddy.com Hosting = Bad for Drupal

I've been working on a website that my wife will be running for about 4 or 5 months now where she will be talking about parenting and selling baby girl hair bows. The site was put on hold while she was in the hospital with our new daughter Kaitlynn, but now that everything is back to normal around the house, she's ready to get started. I've used GoDaddy.com for hosting some of my sites, mostly because it's cheap (I know it's really a joke), and it has been pretty reliable for WordPress sites.

Hosting

Web hosting provides a HTML/XML server and networking that allows the public Internet, or private Intranet, to access your pages. The scripts for web applications and e-commerce also reside on a hosting server. All web sites must be hosted, whether on your own internal servers or through the 3rd party hosting services.

Hosting Tips

  • If you don't have in-house technical web resources, outsourcing your hosting is probably your best bet. Much more economical, and typically more reliable, than in-house hosting.
