How to Use CSS Reset

One of the biggest challenges front end developers face is having different browser versions on different operating systems display the page consistently. Even if you build your page with Firefox or Chrome on Windows, the page may display differently on those browsers with the Mac OS or Linux. Part of the reason is that each browser has it's own default stylesheet. One browser may use more padding on an unordered list while another may use just margin.

Intern Meets Drupal

I would like to make a disclaimer before I get started on this three month project. I am a communications girl not a web developer. I have VERY minimal knowledge of HTML and no PHP or Java insight whatsoever. I do have a blog on Wordpress and I had never heard of Drupal until I was hired at LevelTen. With all that said, here we go…

When you first set up an account, you will not have a couple of really important Drupal modules. Here are a few tips to get an Admin view as well as a recovery type module (Just in case you accidentally blow up your Drupal site).

What Is a CMS, And Why Do I Need One?

green light on a cms

It was a startling introduction to my LevelTen Interactive tenure.

Walking in with very little knowledge about Content Management Systems was a bit intimidating for a newbie at a Drupal shop.

Open Source Technology Set for Rapid Growth, Study Says

DALLAS, July 7, 2010— More than two-thirds of organizations anticipate increasing their investment in open source technology, according to a recent survey by Accenture.

This comes as no surprise to Dallas-based LevelTen Interactive, which has been preaching the virtues of top open source development platform Drupal to clients and colleagues since 2008.

Of those surveyed, 40% said they plan on migrating mission-critical software to open source platforms within the next 12 months.

Content Analysis Tools Lead New Releases From Top Interactive Firm

Innovative web development continues at LevelTen Interactive, as the staff has introduced new content analysis tools for Drupal this month.

The content analysis tools are a suite of Drupal modules, introduced by LevelTen’s Director of Technology Tom McCracken, designed to help Drupal 6 website owners make smarter search engine optimization choices.

There are now four available analyzers: Quick SEO, Scribe SEO, Readability and a W3C Analyzer. There is also a “Search Engine Terms” version coming soon, which will allow site owners to see what search engines think their page is about.
