The South by Southwest (SXSW) conference and Drupal hold a special place in our hearts. After all, it was at SXSW in 2008 that LevelTen first discovered the awesomeness that is Drupal. Since that date, we've never looked back! In support of our favorite content management system, here are all of the Drupal related panel pitches we could find. DALLAS, July 7, 2010— More than two-thirds of organizations anticipate increasing their investment in open source technology, according to a recent survey by Accenture.

This comes as no surprise to Dallas-based LevelTen Interactive, which has been preaching the virtues of top open source development platform Drupal to clients and colleagues since 2008.

Of those surveyed, 40% said they plan on migrating mission-critical software to open source platforms within the next 12 months.

With the rise of Augmented Reality, Microsoft Surface, and iPhone/Android, I think there is a clue where the future of the web and technology is headed. Our physical realities are becoming one with the digital. We, as a society, are learning to truly integrate digital information into our every day lives.

LevelTen Interactive Director and President Tom McCracken is a featured speaker for the event, and plans to give a talk about agile development.

Last week ForeSee Results released their sixth annual Top 100 Online Retail Satisfaction Report. The numbers are in and web shoppers are considerably more satisfied this year than they were during the 2009 recession. Of the 100 e-retailers examined, 28 scored above 80 on the study’s 100–point scale. A year ago only five sites scored above 80. According to ForeSee, a one-point increase in online customer satisfaction translates to roughly $89 million in increased sales for a top e-retailer.

Is this a sign of good times ahead? Or are customers just happier now that the economy is better?

During an impromptu trouble-shooting and resolution meeting this week, LevelTen’s President Tom McCracken brought up an interesting challenge facing LevelTen, and the web development industry as a whole: achieving organizational balance.

DrupalCon begins April 21 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and organizers expect more than 2,500 attendees for this premier event, making 2010’s version the largest DrupalCon to date.
