I've been working at LevelTen Interactive for just a few months now. My first day there was also the first time I had ever heard of the Drupal content management system. And now, I am sitting in a chair at a Drupal conference in Austin, enjoying a turkey wrap and a bag of pretzels.

I'm sure that by now you've heard about Facebook's new messaging system (Facebook Messages) and according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg "this is not email." There is nothing more irritating than knowing a place exists and searching for it on Google, only to have it not show up on the location search. So when our Marketing Manager, Colin, asked me to write a post about the 5 most important ranking criteria for Google local business listings, I was thrilled. I could finally figure out just why my favorite little shops were leaving me high and dry when I tried to find their locations.

DALLAS, October 19, 2010 – LevelTen Interactive, the biggest little Drupal Shop in Texas, was awarded the 2010 W3 Silver Award for the development of the Caris Life Sciences Website. Out of the 3,000 entries received, the International Academy of the Visual Arts chose LevelTen Interactive for their outstanding Website redesign and marketing.
Today, LevelTen's director, Tom McCracken had the pleasure of being featured in a live webcast for Drupal Dojo with Doug Vann.

DALLAS, July 7, 2010— More than two-thirds of organizations anticipate increasing their investment in open source technology, according to a recent survey by Accenture.
This comes as no surprise to Dallas-based LevelTen Interactive, which has been preaching the virtues of top open source development platform Drupal to clients and colleagues since 2008.
Of those surveyed, 40% said they plan on migrating mission-critical software to open source platforms within the next 12 months.
With the rise of Augmented Reality, Microsoft Surface, and iPhone/Android, I think there is a clue where the future of the web and technology is headed. Our physical realities are becoming one with the digital. We, as a society, are learning to truly integrate digital information into our every day lives.
