The opera web browser is the flagship product of Opera Software. It is a web browser that competes directly for market share with Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and other popular web browsers. It has historically had a minuscule share of the browser market, in part due to its price and partly because it has no way of persuading users; which are satisfied with whatever comes on their computer out of the box. Opera has a very robust version of its web browser for PDAs, cell phones, and other hand held devices called Opera mini.
Working in an environment where search placement is so precious, it's hard to believe I've been misstating numbers in Yahoo and MSN's favor. While looking at the Alexa.com home page today I came across an interesting bit of information that leads me to believe that the Google stronghold only continues to get larger.
NY Times Company plans to utilize new website acquisition - About.com - to diversify its current online advertising through "cost per click" ads and marketing their products to About.com users that are demographic variants to NY Times users.
