After writing recently about the Brick Wall of Learning Drupal, I got a lot of responses from people frustrated with trying to learn Drupal. Clearly this a big issue. After having some time to chew on it, read posts and comments, do some research and really formulate an opinion, I have to declare that I loved the idea... when it was called Google Wave.

The last few days, I've been spending a little time researching the ins and outs of the AdAge Power 150 blog rankings. If you don't know (and you should), the Power 150 is a ranking of the top English-language blogs in the world. It was developed by Todd Andrlik and currently ranks hundreds of blogs written about everything related to marketing and PR.

The book Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us is about the importance of intrinsic motivation. The foundation of the book is that there are three levels of human motivation:

1. Basic needs – survival, food, sex, etc.
2. External rewards and punishment
3. Internal interest and purpose
