Finding the right email campaign application can be tough, much less attaining (and maintaining) a large list of subscribers. I was recently helping a friend get started with a campaign. Having some experience with this, I had a couple applications already in mind. It was a toss-up between Campaign Monitor and Intellicontact. Both good applications with intelligently crafted features. I wasn't in a rush, but I just couldn't decide.

This is a site I come back to occasionally just to see what's new.

I think the most delightful thing about Wire & Twine (aside from their name) is that they are deliberately doing something they love. They simply make things they think are neat and sell them. Luckily for them, what they find cool is generally pretty cool to the rest of us.

If you like blogging but also find it a bit of a pain in the butt - like say exercising or (for me) shaving - adopting a new blogging style might be just the ticket. When I say "style," I'm not talking about a theme or layout (not really anyway). I'm talking about a rhythm.

I was ready to kill myself. I read that IE7 supported the hover pseudo class on non-anchor elements. I had even implemented said pseudo class on the footer div of another site I'm working on. As I'm coding the front end of our yet-to-be-released eCommerce product, I can't make it happen. It's been weeks. I spend about 30 minutes every day researching the issue, monkeying with the code, and taking all manner of shots in the dark. Classy no worky.

[excerpt]Kevin shot me a link this morning to 9 Steps to Speed Up Broadband Firefox Browsing. The whole 9 step process took about 3 minutes and it really worked. It may be a little buggy on a PC though. I'm having some issues - not sure if they're related though. I'll let ya know.

UPDATE: MY issues were unrealted to these browser modifications. Enjoy![/excerpt]

I've been diving into some research on copywriting and typography on the web and otherwise. A series of blog posts culminating in a presentation is in the works. In the mean time, here's a list of my resources to date:

Having a crummy day? Sick of dealing with "the man?" Would you say, over all, you'd really just like to kill yourself? GREAT! You've got exactly five minutes to end it all - now make it happen!

As a designer, I spend a significant amount of time just browsing through beautiful sites others have made. I do this partly for inspiration and partly because I am addicted to the internet. Occasionally, I just stumble across an extraordinary site simply while I'm surfing the internet like any other average consumer. Such was the nature of my introduction to GorillaCoffee.com.
