This is just a nifty little trick to add a simple ajax-style loader graphic to your images. It works great for image galleries or anywhere it might take a few seconds for an image to load initially. It's all done with a little css and takes just a couple of minutes to do.

Boy, this seems familiar. Everyone seems to think that having a copy of Microsoft PowerPoint makes them Steven Spielberg or George Lucas. They feel they need to use a host of dramatic colors, forty different fonts, every animated transition available, and they are compelled to bury us in charts and graphs that no one can really decipher. I'm sure you'll recognize some of these techniques.

This video is a really interesting study into the subtle subliminal effects that advertising has on us... even on those who are involved in the advertising business. It's interseting how we respond to branding and product placement in our everyday lives without even being consciously aware of it.

A group of us from Level Ten passed on sleeping in this last Saturday morning in favor of walking in the "Great Strides" walk for Cystic Fibrosis (CF). It was a beautiful morning in Dallas for a walk and especially when it's a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Please consider helping our team raise money for research to find a cure for CF.

Bruce Nussbaum, Business Week's assistant managing editor, recently wrote a really compelling article about the nature of design today. With all of the customiztion tools of websites like MySpace and other social networking sites, free graphics applications, online design tools, etc., almost everyone and their grandmother is a designer of some sort these days.

Earlier this afternoon, the subject of the Lite Brite came around in the production room. Everybody agreed that it was a great memory from childhood; all of that time spent arranging those brightly colored pegs into nifty patterns.

Most of the details of Adobe's massive upgrade to all of it's CS3 (Creative Suite 3 for those who aren't familiar with Adobe's product naming conventions) line of graphic and interactive content creation software have been out there for a week or two. Adobe already annouced an officiall rollout date of March 27th for the suite, but no shipping date or pricing information was available until now.
