Some Days....

Some days....you just do not feel like making another cold call. As with anything you do, some days you get tired of the task, am I the only one that goes through this..I do not think so!

So, when I have a day like that I have to find another task that relates to my job, that can interest me. I like research...poking around in the marketplace and seeing what kinds of new directions I can go with my message. Sometimes it works out very well and and when that happens, it adds to my education and adds to my perspective on the company.

Sometimes its a potential client's title, or it could be the business model for the client's company, it always come down to one thing...what kind of communication tool do they need? What is keeping this VP of Marketing up at night? What do we do that they need? If I can get an idea of the answers to these questions before I make the call, I have a message that a potential client is responsive too and I have a better opportunity of getting a meeting scheduled.

You never know until you ask the question and it always adds to my amazement...sometimes one of those days just work out!!
