Microsoft Brings the Real Web to the Mobiles

iPhone is not alone anymore.
Microsoft just released a preview of its new mobile technology, Deepfish. Deepfish improves upon existing mobile web technologies "by displaying content in a view that is closer to the desktop experience." There is a zoom and "cue map" feature that allows quick access to information without losing track of where you are.

Webware got the preview and reports that "it's a little slow, won't re-columnize the content and it's pretty cumbersome." However, it is just a preview, so there are still a few things to work out.

The preview is available for download for Windows Mobile 5.0+ devices. There are a limited number of downloads available that will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
