LevelTen Formmail

The LevelTen Formmail is a quick configure form to email script programmed in PHP. It is compatible with the Formmail standard established by the original formmail script, Matt's Archive Formmail.

So why did we create another formmail script? Three reasons:

1. Added Security
   There is a rarely exploited but real security risk in standard formmail scripts. The LevelTen Formmail fixes this issue by allowing secure hardcoded parameters in addition to formmail standard form passed values. Note: A cross-site scripting exploit has recently been discovered. Version 1.2 has been patched for this.
   
   
2. Improved e-mail formatting
   The LevelTen Formmail sends e-mails in color coded HTML tables, verses standard formmail's plain text formatting. (The LevelTen script can also send plain text if desired.)
   
   
3. Enhanced Visitor Data
   This is the big reason! By leveraging data from the LevelTen Hit Counter, this script can generate highly detailed session reports about the submitting visitor.
   
   
   • Referrer - how the person found your site
   • Site navigation - what pages did the visitor view and how long did they spend on each page
   • Remote host/IP - the ISP/IP that the visitor is using to access your site
   • User Agent data - Language, time zone, OS, browser, monitor settings
   
   Not only can the LevelTen Formmail provide information on the visitors current session, but every time the visitor has viewed your site.
